Colleen Flaherty Manchester

Colleen Flaherty Manchester, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor in the Work and Organizations department at the Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota. She has a Ph.D. in Economics from Stanford University as well as a B.A. in Public Policy and Economics from Stanford University. Her research investigates the provision of benefits and programs by employers, including retirement savings plans, flexible work practices, and education benefits. Her research evaluates benefit provision by employers as well as the worker’s decision to participate and the effects of participation on the worker.

  • Her research has been published or forthcoming in leading journals, including Academy of Management Journal, Industrial and Labor Relations Review, Industrial Relations, Journal of Human Resources, and Journal of Public Economics.
